Wedding at College Wesleyan Church, Marion IN | Aaron + Jackie Fussner

I am so excited to be kicking off the 2017 wedding season with Aaron + Jackie’s gorgeous spring wedding at College Wesleyan Church in Marion, Indiana. It was a day filled with family, love and laughter. To start the day, the couple decided to have their first look in the sanctuary where they would exchange vows and become husband and wife only a few hours later. But before their official walk down the aisle, the entire wedding party loaded up and headed out to Matter Park for photos. The grounds of the Garden House provided a perfect spring backdrop – budding flowers, warm sunshine and a clear blue sky. What more could you possibly want? Once we wrapped up at the park, everyone headed back to the church to get ready for the big ceremony. Aaron and Jackie’s wedding ceremony was the perfect representation of who they are as individuals and as a couple. It was simple and elegant, thoughtful and light hearted, and above all else, it was centered around love. But not just romantic love, the love of their families, their love for each other and the love of their Savior. After the “I Do’s”, guests mingled together in the great room while enjoying light snacks and filling out mad-libs which would later be used for the Best Man and Maid of Honor’s toasts! Once everyone was seated tables, Aaron and Jackie made their grand entrance and then proceeded to perform one of the most impressive acts of talent that I have ever seen. They simultaneously played the same guitar and serenaded their guests with a song! He worked the frets while she strummed along to the tune of “Ho Hey” by the Lumineers. And about half way through, the rest of the wedding party filed in with additional instruments and joined the happy couple to finish out the song. It was for sure one of the more creative things I have seen done at a wedding in a very long time! Next came dinner which was a delicious assortment of just about anything you could want from beef gyros, various cheeses, salads and dips. Towards the end of dinner, loved ones stood up and gave several heartwarming toasts and well wishes to the newlyweds, followed by a bouquet toss and a perfect sparkler exit to wrap up one amazing wedding day. To the newly married Mr. & Mrs. Fussner, I would like to offer my sincerest congratulations. Thank you for asking me to be a part of your day – I’m so glad it was all #WorthTheFuss!
