Wedding at the Barn at Bay Horse Inn | Sean + Natasha Roth

I am so thrilled to be posting highlights from Sean + Natasha’s beautiful summer wedding last Saturday at the Barn at Bay Horse Inn in Greenwood, Indiana. I began day with the bride and her ladies inside the quaint little inn where everyone was working on their hair and makeup. Once the bride had been fastened into her gorgeous dress, the girls gathered their things and headed to the church. The wedding ceremony was held at Saint Barnabas Church in Indianapolis. As family and friends entered the sanctuary, each one took a moment to sign the guest book and pay their respects to the photos of Sean + Natasha’s loved ones who had passed away. After everyone was seated, the pianist began to play and the wedding party began their march down the aisle. The mothers of the bride and groom lit a candle for their son and daughter, and then the beautiful bride made her grand entrance, escorted down the aisle by her father. The ceremony was traditional, yet simple. Sean and Natasha smiled at each other through the entire service. It was clear, they were ready for this moment and so excited to finally become husband and wife! Once the vows were given and sealed with a kiss, the couple made their way outside for their big church exit through a path of infinite bubbles! The wedding party then loaded up onto the party bus for some celebratory drinking, and of course, making a quit pit stop at Big Red Liquors before heading back to the Barn. Once we finished photographing the whole wedding party, it was finally turn for my favorite part of a wedding day – bride and groom portraits. And of course, wouldn’t you know it, the very minute I start to photograph the bride and groom together, it started to rain. We quickly took cover and continued on with the photos under the shelter of the front porch back at the Inn. (And can I just say, are these two stunning together or what?! #LuckyWeddingPhotographer)
Around 5pm, the rain began to clear just as guests arrived at the barn for cocktail hour. Shortly afterwards, guests were then asked to take their seats as the wedding party lined up to make their big entrance. After everyone settled in, Sean stepped up to the microphone to give a heartfelt welcome speech to everyone who made the trip to celebrate with he and Natasha on their wedding day. He also made sure to say a few kind words about his bride and let her know just how excited he was for the opportunity to grow old with her (aww!) After the welcome came the cake cutting. Though she was adamant about not wanting icing smeared all over her face, both Sean (but mostly Natasha) ended up with a huge mouthful of wedding cake after everything was said and done. Luckily, Natasha was a good sport about it. Next came dinner and guests were invited up to a delicious buffet provided by MCL catering. While the dinner plates were cleared, the bride and groom had their first dance as husband and wife. Much like their ceremony, the two spent the entire dance smiling and laughing with each other. Even better than their first dance was Sean’s first dance with his new daughter, Lydia, with a very sweet song choice of Brad Paisley’s “He Didn’t Have to Be”. Natasha stood back and watched the two loves of her life dancing together, and they quickly invited her to come join them. This was, hands down, my favorite part of the entire day! When the song ended, Sean kissed both of his two beautiful girls and the three of them hugged each other as an official family of three! Once the formal dances were out of the way, DJ Connection Entertainment immediately got the party started on the dance floor! Guests wasted no time in getting their groove on and this continued well into the evening hours. It was an excellent party! Sean and Natasha, I absolutely cannot thank you enough for asking me to be a part of your day! I loved working with you and I wish you both a lifetime of happiness. Congratulations once again!
