Wedding at Cornerstone Center for the Arts, Muncie | Toni + Blair
Posted in Weddings
Ohhhh my goodness, you guys! I have been so anxious to post highlights from Toni + Blair’s gorgeous wedding last weekend at the historic Cornerstone Center for the Arts in Muncie, IN. We began the day with the bridal party getting ready inside the at the arts center. Once the beautiful bride was in her dress and ready to go, she chose to have a “first look” with her dad. It was definitely one of my favorite moments of the entire day! Both Toni and her father absolutely lit up when they saw each other, it was perfect! Afterwards, I took the groomsmen and bridesmaids down to the first floor of the arts center for some stellar bridal party photos.
Now, before I go any further, can I please take a moment to acknowledge this stunning bride?! I can’t get over it – her backless dress, the lace sleeves, and of course her gorgeous smile! I was secretly swooning over her dress the entire time. But anyway, back to the day… Guests arrived for the ceremony around 4pm as ushers seated them inside the dark, romantic theatre on the third floor of the arts center. The bridal party entered the room and paired up together, walking down the aisle arm in arm, followed by the ring bearers, flower girls and finally the beautiful bride escorted by her father. This was finally the moment Toni and Blair had been waiting for! The ceremony was sweet and simple. After their vows, the two poured black and gold sand into a custom made hourglass which was a unique touch that I had never seen before. Once the rings were exchanged, the bride and groom sealed their love with a kiss and officially became Mr. + Mrs. Broussard! (#BecomingTheBroussards)
As guests made their way down to the reception, I snapped a few portraits of the newlyweds inside the old theatre before they were announced into the ballroom. Blair and Toni made an incredible entrance into their party as they danced their way from the upper balcony down to the head table. The bride’s father extended a warm welcome to all family and friends, as well as a blessing before dinner. Later, several members of the bridal party gave hilarious and heartwarming toasts to the bride and groom. Blair and Toni fed each other pieces of their personalized cake, (which was surrounded by glazed doughnuts) and although there was inevitably some icing smeared across both their faces, it was all in good fun. The two then made their way to the center of the room for their first official dance as husband and wife. Next came the traditional father/daughter and mother/son dances, and finally the bouquet and garter toss.
Toni and Blair, I absolutely cannot thank you enough for asking me to capture such an amazing day. I am so happy for you both as you start this new chapter of your lives together. Congratulations once again!
