Maurer Bat Mitzvah | Indianapolis Bat Mitzvah Photographer

I am so pumped to be posting highlights from Caroline’s amazing bat mitzvah! A couple weeks ago, I met up with the Maurer family for Torah photos on a Friday evening at Beth-El Zedek in Indianapolis. I don’t get to shoot at this temple very often, but when I do, I love utilizing the beautiful blue stained glass windows inside the sanctuary – such a cool backdrop! The next morning, we all met up again for some extended family photos prior to the bat mitzvah service at Beth El. Later that evening, the celebration continued across the street at the Meridian Hills Country Club. The party’s theme was “Sweet Caroline” and everywhere you looked, the room was decked out in tasty treats. Guests entered up the the stairs, through a custom archway of balloons and into the ballroom where there was a cocktail hour for the adults and milkshakes with mini grilled cheese sandwiches for the younger crowd. Ben and Katie gave a heartfelt welcome to their friends and family, followed by an invitation to enjoy the dinner buffet. Once the plates were cleared, there was a slideshow of Caroline’s life and then several speeches given by some of her close friends and two sisters. Next came the Hora (my favorite part of any bat/bar mitzvah!) where Caroline was hoisted into the air while everyone joined hands and danced around her! DJ Tim Fuller kept the energy going on the dance floor for the rest of the evening while the Audio Blitz dancers lead everyone in the latest dance moves.
To the Maurer family, let me say how honored I am to have captured such an incredible day! Thank you for letting me be a part of Caroline’s bat mitzvah. Enjoy the highlights!
