I am so excited to be posting highlights from Solomon’s tech themed bar mitzvah! A couple weeks ago, I met up with Solomon and his family at the Indianapolis Hebrew Congregation on a Saturday morning to begin capturing his long awaited bar mitzvah. Though the guest list for the service was limited due to COVID19 restrictions, thankfully Solomon was able to be surrounded by a small group of family and friends in the sanctuary for his very special day. After finishing up Torah and family photos, Solomon, along with his mother, father and sisters met with Rabbi Krichiver and Cantor Marer for some final words of reflection and encouragement. Later that evening, I arrived at Solomon’s backyard for a fun, laid-back party on the lawn. Guests were welcomed into the party tent with a cocktail hour and plated hors d’oeuvres for the adults and a nacho bar for the younger crowd. After everyone had a chance to mingle, the festivities began with a Havdalah service, plenty of Israeli dancing and the hora (my favorite part of any bat or bar mitzvah!) Soon afterwards, everyone enjoyed an elaborate dinner buffet, a video montage of highlights from Solomon’s childhood, and finished the festivities with dessert and lots of dancing. It was a perfect spring evening for celebrating! Mazel tov Solomon and thank you so much to the Seif family for allowing me to capture such an incredible day!
