I’m so excited to be posting another beautiful mitzvah on the Pearl Grey blog today! This past weekend, Jacob celebrated his bar mitzvah at the Indianapolis Hebrew Congregation. One of my favorite parts of shooting these kinds of events is seeing all the different family generations come together. I love overhearing the parents and grandparents reminisce about their own bat or bar mitzvahs, and how they can still remember being so nervous. In honor of the big day, Jacob’s grandfather made him a custom yad (which in Hebrew means “hand”) for him to hold so he can keep is place while reading from the Torah. How cool is that?! After the bar mitzvah service was over, family and friends gathered together for a luncheon to continue the celebration. DJ Mason Klain kept the beats flowing while guests mingled, danced and took goofy photos of themselves at the photobooth station. It was a day filled with love, family and celebration. What more could you ask for? To the Kramer family, thank you so much for asking me to capture such an important day! And congratulations Jacob on your very big accomplishment.
