Fall Wedding at Avon Gardens | Eleanor + Kerry
Posted in Weddings
I am so thrilled to be starting fall off right with Kerry and Eleanor’s gorgeous outdoor wedding at Avon Gardens! Their day began with the wedding party getting ready in the provided bridal suite and man cave. After the veil was in place and the boutonnieres were pinned on, we took the guys and girls out separately for some group photos as the bride and groom wanted to stick to tradition and not see each other before the “I Do’s”.
Later in the afternoon, guests began to arrive and take their seats for the intimate, outdoor ceremony. Eleanor was escorted down an aisle of white rose petals by her father, and then officially given away to beloved Kerry. The two stood beneath the shade of a beautiful old tree and committed their lives to each other in front of their closest family and friends. The ceremony was simple and touching, with many personalized thoughts about the couple given by their pastor. Kerry and Eleanor sealed their love with a kiss and celebrated their way down the aisle as husband and wife!
While guests enjoyed the outdoor cocktail hour, I got to spend some time photographing the bride and groom all over the gorgeous property! Getting photo time with just the bride and groom is my absolute favorite part of any wedding day. Having photographed Eleanor and Kerry together at their engagement session last year, I knew these two were going to be completely adorable together on their wedding day and they did not let me down! Their genuine love for each other is so evident in the way they interact. They hold each other close and let the rest of the world just melt away. (sigh…) I have the best job ever!
After we wrapped up photos, the newlyweds made their grand entrance into their candle-lit reception! A buffet dinner was served, followed by champagne toasts from the best man, mother of the bride and groom’s sister. Kerry and Eleanor cut their beautiful four tiered cake (no smashing involved) and then made their way onto the dance floor for their first official slow dance as husband and wife. Soon afterwards, the father of the bride joined his daughter for a dance, followed by Kerry and his mother who swayed to Lynyrd Skynyrd’s “Simple Man” under the glowing chandeliers.
Eleanor and Kerry, I am so honored to have been a part of your wedding day! Thank you so much for asking me to capture all of your wonderful memories! I wish you both the very best of luck as you start this new chapter of your lives together as husband and wife.
